At MedSkin Solutions Dr. Suwelack we have over 30 years’ experience in handling biomaterials. We work on our founder’s principle
“Natures mode of action is perfect – just preserve it”.
Based on this heritage we have developed gentle and sophisticated processes to treat our biomaterials with the respect they require for optimum performance. Our Advanced CryoSafe® Method is one of the processes we have developed based on this heritage, it includes
It all starts with the right materials; we have been sourcing xenograft tissue for our own medical devices for 30 years and have developed a robust procedure for the sourcing of biomaterials. We understand the importance of both the safety and quality, as well as the traceability of materials. We work with a variety of suppliers and our QMS system adheres to ISO13485 & MDSAP.
Our proprietary process of lyophilizing materials has been carefully crafted to preserve the natural structure of the biomaterial. This allows the material to maintain its natural structure and to provide optimum effectiveness in your medical device.
Our four large, industrial lyophilizers lock in a material’s potential, we can tailor the lyophilization cycle to achieve your desired product specification, manipulating the physical characteristics of the finished medical device.
Our modular coating system offers an adaptable process to integrate biomaterials. We allow the combination of essential ingredients for your medical device’s function or to enhance existing product performance.
The coated materials are integrated into the scaffold material. This technology allows for you to develop a portfolio with a wide range of ingredients that provide differentiated and optimum performance.
We offer a complete manufacturing process in house, including product converting and packaging.
In 2021 we opened our new converting centre, a dedicated space for this process. We can develop a range of formats and packaging designs to suit your medical device’s needs.
To efficiently convert to final format and to package your medical device we have recently completed the build of our new converting centre (in 2021).
This state of the art production plant allows for scalable packaging of medical devices, we have a combination of automated processes and expertly trained staff for more complex quality checks and converting processes.
