Active Ingredients
Soluble Native Collagen Molecules have an extremely high water-binding capacity and form a moisture net on the skin, which reduces the trans epidermal water loss (TEWL). Soluble Native Collagen Molecules infuse the skin with moisture. This leads to increased hydration of the stratum corneum, which lasts for hours. The use of native collagen improves skin smoothness and gives the skin a pleasant feeling. Skin is plumped and firmed and water is retained in the Stratum Corneum. It provides instant moisture to the skin. 1,2
Niacimide (Vitamin B3) is an essential coenzyme in the energy production in cells and also has a central role in DNA repair. In addition, niacinamide stimulates the production of lipids and ceramide, and it increases key proteins involved in the skin barrier: involucrin, filaggrin and keratin.3 It strengthens the skin barrier and reduces transepidermal water loss (TEWL).3
Niacinamide protects the skin from oxidative stress and from protein damage. It has been described to reduce hyperpigmentation and light induced redness.4 Studies have shown that niacinamide prevents pigments from surfacing on the skin, by inhibiting melanosomes transfer.4
